Halloween!

The Witch and her baby Monster!

This is our family!

Brett told the girls to look up! This was at the trunk or treat!
My cousin Christine and her family came to celebrate! Jessica is a mermaid, Lacey is Minnie Mouse, she wouldn't leave her ears on. And Cody is the hulk, with Bretts clown hat on his head.

Tenille who is Daisy Duck! Max the Monster! Dylan is Donald Duck!
Max really wanted Dylans Bottle.

Halloween is my favorite Holiday, every year we make a bunch of Gastronomys Own Chili, order some bread bowls that look like pumpkins. This year we made some clam chowder, and apple pie caramel apples. We also had some homemade rootbeer. Perfect holiday!
Before dinner we went to the Trunk or Treat at the church. We were alittle late and everyone was packing up and going home. Next we went trick or treating to Bretts aunts house's. Then we had dinner and went to Mike and Jamies halloween party. It was a good time!

Max's Birthday Party!

Welcome to my party! Just watch me push my new toy!
He didn't like his hands dirty

Birthday cake is sooo good!

His cousins, Evie and Addy were very helpful. Helping him open his gifts. Fun for all!

Max's first birthday was a blast! Well, mostly for Max. He had such a fun time playing with all of his new toys. Max got a lot of fun toys. Tools, cars, candy, books, and money.

Oregon Trip!

We just got back from our 8 day vacation to the
Oregon Coast. It was wonderful to get away and
to spend time with each other. We went with Bretts brother's Mike and Eric, and Jamie, Mikes wife. We went to see some waterfalls and lighthouses. We went to an aquarium where we could feed some sealions. We toured the Tillamook Cheese Factory and got us an ice cream cone. Great Ice Cream!

It tooks us along time to drive. But it was a beautiful one, well as soon as it started to get light out. We left at midnight and drove most of the way while Max was sleeping. Excellent idea! The best thing we brought with us was a portable DVD player that my sister let us borrow. It came with a Baby Einstein DVD. In which Max was kept entertained most of the way.
We went shoppings on the boardwalk and we bought some kites that were
flown on the beach. But because of the wind from the ocean flying a kite was
easy, no running involved. Brett just put a rock on the kite string and the kite
stayed flying. Easy! Max and I played in the sand with his dump truck, that
Uncle Eric bought him. Then we chasted the seagulls. It was a great time.

Max's favorite thing was to swim in the kiddie pool. Which started at a
slope at 1 inch and went up to 1 1/2 feet. It was very warm. He kept crawling
up and down the slope until his face was in the water then he would turn around.

The condo we stayed in was nice, it had a balcony that Max liked to play on.
It also had a grill that we cooked up some hot dogs.

Working on the house!

In June, Brett, my parents and I purchased a hud house, currently the one that we live in. Man was it a mess. Before we could move in we had to rip out the carpet and paint the rooms that we needed to re-carpet. We also took out the moldey water damaged basement, which was another 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, we also removed the carpet from the family room. All the bushes have been removed and so has the swamp cooler that is hanging off the front of the house.
We took out the many different types of tile that was in the upstairs shower and re-tiled it, it looks really nice and it is definatly great to shower at our own house, it only took a month.
We are currently in the process of getting the kitchen ready for paint, flooring and appliances. It will be nice to be able to cook in my own house again. The goal set by the city for us to finish is Sept. !st, which is when the appliances have to be off the driveway, or we get fined. Wish us LUCK!

Driving...without a licence

Max's favorite things to do is to help Brett drive the vehicles. It is a natural instinct for our 100% pure boy.
He even helped Brett drive the truck as they pulled up bushes from our yard. It was really funny because he had one hand on the gear shifter thing and the other hand on the steering wheel. Like he had been driving cars for years. He is such a smart kid, watches everyone and everything. So he can be the one to do it next time it needs to be done.
